  • Ain't It Cool News
    Occasionally I write reviews for this film site, run by Austin movie guru Harry Knowles. Gets the best scoops and has the most enthusiatic (sometimes too enthusiastic, see Talkback) film fan base on the Internet. Plus, he has Moriarty, my good friend, and favorite film reviewer.
  • CHUD
    Really well-written reviews, with some hilarious commentary on the state of film. Run by Nick Nunziata, who is a decent bloke from my experience. Any review by Devin Faraci is an instant must read, even if you radically disagree.
  • Ain't Insane Chatters Neat?
    Sometimes we say things in chat that should never be repeated or heard by human ears. Thankfully, my friend Adam has a site that tries not to miss any of it. WARNING: ADULT CONTENT. Don't read it if you are easily offended.
  • The Hot Button
    David Poland is an idiot, and he's obsessed with tracking numbers. I don't know why I read the guy. Maybe you'll check it out and let me know.
  • Hollywood Elsewhere
    Jeffrey Wells isn't much better than Poland. I mean, the guy walks out of movies he doesn't like. What kind of half-ass reviewing is that? Still, sometimes he's right (like a broken clock twice a day).
  • Roger Ebert
    Still the most respected film reviewer alive right now. Personally, he's on more than he's off, but when he's off, it's like a high-dive into shallow water.

Here She Comes

Winds are kicking around outside, but fortunately for us the storm has moved east and downgraded to a Category 3.  It looks to hit Port Arthur, Texas, possibly west Louisiana.

Right now we're occupying our time eating and watching Cartoon Network or Nickelodeon.  I'm so damn sick of Fairly Oddparents and Spongebob right now that I'll kill the first animator I see.  I'm too keyed up to watch much of anything really, so I've been listening to music off iTunes.  I'm late to the party, seems like, but iTunes kicks serious ass. Can't leave the house to buy music?  iTunes got you covered.

It's weird, now the sun is shining.  Not for too much longer, though.
